In a new show opening at the Nicolaysen Art Museum, ceramic artist Rebekah Bogard of Reno, Nevada explores the ambiguity in 15 earthenware pieces. Because of her work's relationship and design, this will be more like an installation piece. Bogard received a bachelor's in fine art from University of Wyoming in 2000 and her master's from the University of Nevada in 2003. She is currently an assistant professor in ceramics at the University of Nevada as well as a studio artist. She has received numerous awards including being named an "Emerging Artist" by both the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts and Ceramics Monthly Magazine. This is an exhibition in fantasy. The show opens August 6th and shows through September 6th, 2010.
