Located approximately 9 miles west of downtown Casper on highway 20/26, the Casper/Natrona County International Airport serves the friendly Western region with three major airlines - United, Delta and Northwest. Those carriers provide direct flights to, and through four major hub cities: Denver, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Las Vegas. Additionally, charter operators provide direct monthly flights to Laughlin and/or Wendover, NV.
Airport facilities include two primary air carrier runways and two general aviation runways. CNCIA also offers a 24-hour on-call customs service, as well as several aircraft services, fueling, and maintenance.
Another unique feature of the CNCIA is that it's the only designated Port of Entry in the State of Wyoming. There are 327 official ports of entry in the United States and 15 pre-clearance offices in Canada and the Caribbean. While people may think of Customs officers only at very busy airports with direct international passenger service, the Customs office at the Casper/Natrona County International airport clears over 450 aircraft annually to or from other countries. This function is critical for business support and development around Wyoming, as many companies within the state have a business presence or operations in other countries.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Presence has also allowed for the development of a Foreign Trade Zone at the airport - the only one in Wyoming. It comprises a total of 475 acres of the Airport's 5,150 acre facility. A foreign trade zone is a specific area where any form of imported merchandise may be stored, packaged, assembled, manufactured cleaned, sorted, and/or graded without the expense of Customs duties or taxes. Some of the benefits of the airport's FTZ are, import duties are not paid until the goods leave the zone, re-exported goods are never entered into U.S. commerce and are not subject to Customs duty, and no duty is paid on scrap, waste, or damaged goods.
If you're in need of a vehicle while in town, three car rental agencies are found on-site at CNCIA - Avis, Hertz, and Budget. Another popular option, Enterprise Rent-a-Car is available just up the road in Casper, providing airport drop-offs and pick-ups for its customers. There are also two cab companies: Casper Cab (259-1080) and RC Cab.
