According to local climbers, Fremont Canyon is one of the sport's best-kept secrets, featuring some of the finest granite climbing in the United States. The area offers hundreds of high quality routes for climbers of all skill levels, ranging from 40 to 400+ feet and 5.6 to 5.13 in difficulty. Regardless of the route you take, breathtaking views of Alcova Reservoir are your reward when you climb Fremont Canyon.

To find the area's best routes, follow Highway 220 south toward the town of Alcova. Once you hit town, turn south and go 7.5 miles to a fork in the road. Continue to the right 3 miles, and you're at Fremont Canyon Bridge - the trailhead for your climbing excursion! Before hitting the road, stock up on climbing equipment and local maps or test your skills on the climbing wall at The Peak, Casper's indoor climbing facility.
