Laurie Dameron

Laurie Dameron singer/songwriter/composer/guitarist comes to Casper every year to lend her fun music to the Rely for Life (American Cancer Association fundraiser)Laurie has been performing almost her entire life. In the last 20 years she has played at over 300 venues in and out of Colorado. She did a tour of New Zealand in March 2010. A broad repertoire and versatility in many styles; folk, instrumental, pop, country, blues and jazz, allows her to please audiences of any age from children to seniors. With a powerful stage presence, she can engage even the most sober audiences.

Some recent highlights include many festivals including Boulder Creek Festival, Golden Music and Arts Festival, Highlands Ranch Festival (2007, 2008, 2009), Capital Hill Peoples Fair (2007, 2008, 2009), Taste of Colorado and the 2008 Democratic Convention.

Laurie has produced and arranged three CDs. The first, Utah Dream, is all original folk, pop and blues. Her second, Looking Through the Blue, is all original jazz compositions and the newest, I Can't Wait to See You Again, is twelve of her favorite jazz standards and one original. The original, the title cut, recently received an award of honorable mention for the 16th Annual Billboard Magazine World Song Contest:

Boulder Colorado musician, Laurie Dameron's song, I Can't Wait to See You Again, received an award of honorable mention for the 16th Annual Billboard Magazine World Song Contest. Billboard says "this is an impressive feat. With thousands of entries coming in each year exemplifying top notch quality songwriting there seems to be a trend promoting an ever increasing level of songwriting."

Also the same song was entered in the 2008 Australian Song Contest and I Can't Wait to See You Again, made it into the finals!!!

Last year Dameron performed for Wednesday Night Live at the Nicolaysen Art Museum
