America Moves West

The Oregon Trail, The Pony Express Trail, The California Trail, The Mormon Pioneer Trail converge at a place that would become Casper, Wyoming.

Hear their stories
Narrations taken from thousands of authentic emigrant diaries and journals in search of new lives, new land, new wealth, or religious freedom.

Several Galleries and life-sized displays
Spend time with those who played a role in America's west: transcontinental railroad construction crews, fur trappers, Mountain men, missionaries, explorers, hope-filled families and reckless "Forty-Niners" of the California Gold Rush. Forge the North Platte River in a wagon or travel dusty roads in a stage coach.

WINTER HOURS - TUE-SAT 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
