The Science Zone is a community-based child learning center, which offers families and children of all ages, interactive science and math learning opportunities. The hands-on programs and exhibits are tailored to meet school district standards and assist in the often-daunting task of teaching math and science. Many of the children that will be reached come from multi-generational poverty-stricken, low educated families living in several rural communities that offer under-funded and poorly coordinated services and limited opportunities for our youth. Once the Science Zone is completely up and running we will accomplish the above through: Permanent, Rotating and Traveling Exhibits, Summer Science Camps, After-School Science Classes, Storybook Science, Outreach Programs, Special Events, Birthday Parties and live demonstrations and films in our theatre.
The re-opening of the Science Zone would not have been possible without the generous support and donation of the Casper community. "We are so thankful for everything the community has done from the volunteers, donors and board members. Everyone has been so helpful and supportive" Said board member Rita Parker. "This is a true testament the people of Casper have for it's community and for it's children." For more information call or e-mail (307)473-ZONE(9663).
